Steps and Objectives of the advanced parenteral nutrition care model

The Advanced Parenteral Nutrition Care Model is a highly realistic simulation tool specifically designed for medical training, aiming to help trainees master the operational skills of parenteral nutrition (TPN) care. This model simulates the actual operation process of parenteral nutrition, ensuring that medical staff can safely and accurately carry out parenteral nutrition treatment in clinical practice.

Operation steps:

1.  Assess the patient's condition  : First, evaluate the patient's clinical condition to determine whether parenteral nutrition support is needed.

2.  Prepare the nutrient solution  : Prepare the parenteral nutrition solution as per the doctor's instructions, ensuring the liquid ratio and aseptic operation.

3.  Select appropriate venous access  : Choose suitable venous access, such as peripheral veins or central veins, and ensure the access is unobstructed.

4.  Installation of infusion equipment  : Connect the nutrient solution to the infusion pipeline, ensure there is no leakage and set the infusion speed correctly.

5.  Monitoring and Adjustment  : During the infusion process, monitor the patient's vital signs, fluid balance and nutritional response, and adjust the treatment plan in a timely manner.

Objective:

1.  Enhance operational skills  : Through simulation training, help trainees become familiar with the correct operation methods of parenteral nutrition to ensure its accurate implementation in clinical practice.

2.  Reduce complications  : Through repeated practice, reduce complications caused by improper operation, such as infection and thrombosis.

3.  Enhance nursing confidence  : Through high-simulation training, improve the technical proficiency and clinical adaptability of medical staff.
